Reminesence art work – memories of old Leicester

Reminesence art work-w500-h500Kristy Johnson, WEA tutor, has been working on a new venture with service users at the South Leicestershire Community Opportunities day centre in Timber Street, South Wigston.

Prompted by Second World War artefacts, loaned from Leicestershire Libraries, service users were able to share memories of the period.  Several had their photo taken, too, wearing a helmet from the war.  They have been working on a collage of pre war photographs, presented in the style of the 1950s (see picture above).  The final collage will be displayed in the Timber Street centre.
