We are delighted to say ‘well done!’ to students* completing their Loss and Bereavement course earlier this week. When WEA Programme Organier, Helen Salisbury, popped in to see them they were having a lively discussion on suicide. However, they stopped to receive their certificates and to confirm how much they had enjoyed their course this ter with WEA tutor, Linda Williams (pictured centre above).
Linda confirms, ‘We have looked at what is grieving and the effect of bereavement depending on whether it is a child or adult. We then moved on to thinking about the significance to different religions and cultures and, finally, to supporting those who have lost a loved one.
If you would like to find out more about counselling, then the next course is an Introduction to Counselling Skills and starts on 20 January, 6.30 to 8.30 pm for 8 weeks. You can then take this a step further in the summer term by progressing to Linda’s Introduction to counselling skills and personal development, starting on 28 April.
