BCS On-line Basics Digital Skills: Fun way to learn on line with tutor support: computer basics, internet, Facebook, downloading music and digital photography.

This course is suitable for learners that have never used a computer before or have completed the (Entry 3) Award in Using ICT and want to extend their skills further. You will gain an Entry 3 Digital Skills Award. During the course you will be provided with support from a tutor and work through course materials online which provide you with all the knowledge you need. You will be shown different parts of a computer and how to start up and shut down; understand the desktop, use different icons; use MS Word to produce documents, i.e. write a letter; use the worldwide web to search for information and learn how to send and respond to emails. You will all understand what social networking is; be able to create a profile and use a social networking site. The Audio and Video Software unit will teach you how to capture audio/video; transfer; video editing software basics.

Starting Tuesday 6th of October 2015 from 12.30 p.m. – 14.30 p.m. for 32 weeks.
