Ros Taylor runs English classes at WEA 101 Leicester. Her students wanted to support the campaign to ‘Save Adult Education’ so wrote letters to their local MP. They describe their experiences of adult learning and how attending classes has made a real difference to their lives.
Leanne says, “..the WEA..has changed my life in so many ways, not only helping me achieve my qualification…it has also dramatically helped me with my self confidence and enabled me to move one step closer to becoming a Teaching Assistant”
Gaynor says, “if this funding is withdrawn..I will have nowhere to learn as I cannot afford to pay for courses. I receive benefits, but to get off benefits I need qualifications, to get qualifications I need to learn and if funding is withdrawn I have no future and no job.”
