‘As Long as I have Music’

The new singing course at Deacon and Hardy, our community partner at Wigston Gardens is proving a hit with their service users. Students and staff are all praise for WEA Tutor Alex Reffell who has inspired them to not only join in the singing, but also for a bit of a dance as evident in the pictures provided.

“Alex is amazing with the service users. She creates a great atmosphere and leaves them all in a good mood for the rest of the day,” said Helen Stainsby, Team Leader at D & H. Alex Reffell also teaches at the partner’s Central Avenue Venue.

She also offers singing for improvers – ‘Gonna Rise Up Singing’ at the ‘Y’ Theatre on Fridays from 10.30am – 12.30 pm. Please ring 0116 2556614 or email at 101leicester@wea.org.uk if you require further information on singing courses.
