The dark nights of winter and spring provide an excellent opportunity to get to know the stars and planets on view. In this introductory course, we will learn how to recognise these and find out about the fascinating objects found in our universe.
Ever looked up on a clear dark night and wondered about the stars and planets? You will learn how to recognise some of these and find out about how stars form and answer questions such as what are conditions like on Mars and Saturn, how many moons does Jupiter have and how does a telescope work? Weather permitting, an evening observing session could be arranged.
